Emerging Companies

Our Emerging Companies practice offers a broad range of legal services to start-up and emerging companies to meet their needs from birth through Initial Public Offering and beyond. We make ourselves available to act as general counsel for companies, to advise them with both cutting-edge and practical solutions to a full range of day today concerns. We can help take companies in the technology, life sciences and other industries from concept to sale. We offer to regularly attend our clients' board meetings because, among other things, we believe that board attendance enables us to remain current with the client's business, technology and industry. It also allows us to give early input on how to avoid potential problems.

We handle everything from formation, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate concerns, stock option plans, representation after IPO, joint development, sponsored research and product distribution agreements, customer contracts and licensing matters, trademark matters, labor issues, and all other matters which emerging companies experience from day to day. Our depth of experience and numerous practice areas will allow us to meet virtually all of the legal needs of our emerging company clients.

We are counselors, advisors and confidants to our clients. The contacts that we have with others (such as venture capitalists, investment firms, accounting firms, etc.) allow us to offer our clients a network of expertise, market intelligence and access. We are a "value-added" practice. We help our clients think through business, intellectual property and other legal issues that arise in their corporate transactions. Our industry focus allows us to help young companies enter the market with a sophisticated level of expertise on how deals are structured.
